Da Nang and Pyeongtaek (South Korea) Sign Agreement to Establish Friendly and Cooperative Relations
On the afternoon of April 2, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh hosted a reception for Mayor Jung Jang Seon of Pyeongtaek City (South Korea) during his visit and working trip to Da Nang.
At the meeting, Chairman Le Trung Chinh stated that Pyeongtaek and Da Nang share many similarities in their development orientations and possess numerous opportunities for future cooperation. Notably, Pyeongtaek is known as the semiconductor capital of South Korea.
Leaders of the two cities signed an agreement to establish friendly and cooperative relations.
Chairman Le Trung Chinh expressed his hope that Mayor Jung Jang Seon would support Da Nang in promoting information about cooperation and investment opportunities in the semiconductor sector to businesses and partners in Pyeongtaek, and help connect semiconductor companies to invest in Da Nang.
Mayor Jung Jang Seon praised Da Nang’s investment environment, international investment attraction policies, as well as its development potential and capacity. He expressed hope that with the shared development orientations, the two cities would strengthen cooperation in the semiconductor industry and other mutually beneficial areas of interest.
On this occasion, Pyeongtaek and Da Nang signed an agreement to establish friendly and diverse cooperation in the fields of economy, education, culture, sports, and labor, based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit.
