Promote the completion of the legal framework and expand opportunities for connecting international capital at VIFC-DN
On the morning of September 18, at the forum "Vietnam International Financial Center in Danang City in 2026 - Legal Framework, Priority Sectors, Products, and Investment Opportunities at VIFC-DN", the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Chairman of the VIFC-DN Executive Agency Hồ Kỳ Minh emphasized that the forum is an opportunity to exchange policies, listen to the market, and connect long-term partners with VIFC-DN.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Kỳ Minh assessed that the legal framework is considered an "invisible infrastructure" with a key role. Therefore, the forum focuses on discussing the development of a competitive legal framework that aligns with international practices; identifying priority sectors and products such as fund and asset management, green finance and carbon markets, commodity exchanges, financial technology and platforms, and innovative financial products; connecting international capital flows with the green transition process through green finance, carbon markets, and sustainable investment products.
At the opening session, VIFC-DN and ACCA signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. The forum continued with two discussion sessions on the legal framework, priority sectors; green finance, carbon credits, and sustainable financial products.
Earlier that morning, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee welcomed Ms. Helen Brand, OBE - Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom.
Ms. Helen Brand stated that ACCA is very pleased to have collaborated with VIFC-DN from the early stages and hopes that both parties will continue to coordinate in areas crucial to the development of the International Financial Center. She also expressed the expectation that the discussions held at today's Forum will provide useful information regarding VIFC-DN's development direction, while opening opportunities for cooperation between ACCA and VIFC-DN and attracting the attention of the business community and international investors.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee thanked ACCA for their companionship and cooperation, noting that the Forum is an occasion for the city and VIFC-DN to introduce the legal framework, priority sectors, potential cooperation areas, and investment opportunities in Danang, thereby strengthening connections with the financial community, businesses, and international investors.

Promote cultural cooperation, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges with Colombia
On the morning of September 18, during a meeting with the Ambassador of Colombia to Vietnam, Camila Polo Florez, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu highly appreciated the Embassy of Colombia's interest in Danang, especially in cultural exchange activities. The city’s in hope to continue expanding cultural, artistic, and youth exchanges, as well as strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Camila Polo Florez appreciated the activities of youth exchange and interaction, which create opportunities for the younger generations of the two countries to learn about and share cultures, contributing to nurturing the Vietnam-Colombia friendship. The Ambassador noted that Danang has great potential to become a destination for Colombian tourists. Both sides can enhance the promotion of each country's tourist destinations, thereby promoting people-to-people exchanges and strengthening direct understanding between Vietnam and Colombia.

Promote “three-party” cooperation on innovation and human resource development
At the seminar "Triple Helix on Research, Innovation, and Human Resource Development" on the afternoon of September 14, the speakers shared experiences on promoting cooperation between the State - Universities - Enterprises, from connecting the practical needs of enterprises with research tasks to university-enterprise collaboration in R&D, innovation, and technology workforce training aligned with recruitment needs.
According to the Triple Helix model, the State plays the role of creating an environment, connecting, and supporting; universities and research institutes provide knowledge, technology, and human resources; enterprises propose practical problems, participate in testing, and apply research results.
On this occasion, the Center for Applied Research and Services (DARS), DSEZA, and the Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (AIST), University of Danang, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation, aiming to promote research, technology development, and support enterprises in the near future.

Hand over the nameplate and guard post of the former Reasoner barracks in Danang to the United States
On the morning of September 15, Danang city held a ceremony to hand over the nameplate and guard post of the former Reasoner Barracks in Danang to the United States.
The “Camp Reasoner” sign is a symbol of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion of the United States, which was once stationed in Danang, currently located in the Đà Sơn area, Hòa Khánh Ward. At the request of the United States, Vietnam facilitated the transfer of these artifacts to serve for exhibition, commemoration, and to honor the values of peace, healing, and reconciliation between the two countries.
Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hồ Quang Bửu emphasized that Danang always supports activities promoting the overcoming of war consequences, people-to-people exchanges, and the preservation of historical memory between the two countries. The handover marks a milestone in preserving and transferring historical memories, while also reflecting the spirit of reconciliation, healing, and a commitment to peace.

Promote cooperation with Australia in education and human resource development
On the afternoon of September 16, during the meeting with Acting Deputy Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam Naomi Cook, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu highly appreciated the contributions of the Australian Embassy in promoting Australia - Vietnam cooperation and including localities, such as Danang.
Recognizing Australia as an important partner with significant potential for cooperation, the city proposed that the Australian Embassy continue to connect Australian educational institutions, universities, research institutes, and educational organizations with Danang; support the improvement of English teaching and learning quality, develop the teaching workforce and high-quality human resources, contributing to the implementation of the project "Making English the Second Language in Schools."
Acting Deputy Ambassador Naomi Cook affirmed that the Australia - Vietnam relationship continues to develop in many fields; at the same time, she thanked the city for supporting the organization of the Vietnam - Australia Forum 2026 and stated that Australia looks forward to continuing exchanges with Da Nang in areas of cooperation in the near future.

Commence construction of a social housing project worth nearly 490 billion VND in Hòa Xuân
On the morning of September 16, in Hòa Xuân Ward, the Lê Kim Lăng Social Housing Project was inaugurated. The project covers an area of approximately 0.7 hectares, consisting of a 12-story apartment building with one basement floor, about 326 units, with an estimated total investment of over 489 billion VND; apartments have an area of approximately 45-70m².
The project is planned in an integrated manner with a kindergarten, playground, green spaces, sports area, supermarket, and community activity room, and is expected to be completed and handed over in the second quarter of 2028.

Local cooperation exchange with the Yeongam Culture and Tourism Foundation and Mokpo MBC Television
On September 16, the working delegation from the Danang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism exchanged views with Mr. Jeon Go-pil, General Director of the Yeongam County Cultural Tourism Foundation (South Korea), on experiences in organizing, exploiting, and promoting cultural and tourism products.
The two sides discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects related to cultural content, photo exhibitions, exchange events, and destination promotion; at the same time, they aimed to expand coordination between the Danang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Yeongam County government, and the Foundation based on the signed MOU.
The Danang delegation also exchanged views with Mokpo MBC about cooperation direction for the 2027-2030 period, focusing on media, production, and the dissemination of cultural and tourism content. Mokpo MBC agreed to continue technical and program content discussions and explore the possibility of promoting a cooperation agreement in the near future.
Continuing the working program, on September 17, the working delegation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, led by Ms. Nguyễn Thu Phương - Deputy Director of the Department, held a courtesy meeting with Mr. Woo Seung-hee, the County Chief of Yeongam County. Also present were leaders from Danang Newspaper and Radio-Television.
The two sides exchanged cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism and the promotion of destination images. The County Chief of Yeongam introduced the strategy for developing destinations in the direction of accommodation – healing – cultural identity, using the vitality of Wolchulsan Mountain as the experiential axis and linking the chain of “visiting – consuming – returning – settling” with local life.

Inaugurate the TTC Plaza Danang project
On the morning of September 15, TTC Plaza Danang was inaugurated and TUI SUNEO Danang Hotel officially opened, marking a new milestone in the development of a multi-functional complex in the city center. The Consul General of Japan in Danang Mori Takero assessed that the project contributes to showcasing the development of economic, cultural, and friendship relations between Vietnam and Japan.
TTC Plaza Danang is located at No. 46 Điện Biên Phủ Street, Thanh Khê Ward, built on a nearly 15,000m² plot, with a total floor area of over 122,000m², including 18 above-ground floors and 2 basement levels, featuring office, commercial, accommodation, and service spaces.
Situated within TTC Plaza, TUI SUNEO Danang offers 148 rooms and suites along with a system of restaurants, rooftop bar, swimming pool, wellness area, family amenities, and meeting and event spaces. This is the first TUI SUNEO hotel in Vietnam, expanding the presence of TUI Hotels & Resorts in the Asian market.

December 1: Thai Airways launches a new route connecting Danang with Bangkok
On the morning of September 17, at the seminar "Connecting Danang to The World 2026,” Thai Airways, in collaboration with Huong Giang Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (HG Aviation), introduced a new route connecting Danang with Bangkok, officially launching on December 1, 2026.
Through Thai Airways' network, passengers from Danang will be able to continue to various destinations in Thailand, Asia, Europe, and other international markets. At the same time, this initiative contributes to attracting international tourists to Danang and the central region, promoting tourism, trade, cultural exchange, and international cooperation, thereby enhancing the city's connectivity with the region and the world.

The fair features nearly 250 booths from 108 domestic and international enterprises, along with the participation of six provinces from southern central Laos and nine diplomatic agencies. </span></span></p>

Danang agreed to allocate 2.85 billion VND from the budget as corresponding funds to implement Phase 2 of the Kack Hyun Elderly Care Center Upgrade Project.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">KOICA affirmed that it is continuing to accompany and coordinate the project implementation, aiming to enhance elderly care capacity. The center currently cares for 45 elderly individuals who are alone and without support. <p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">On the morning of September 22, during a meeting with the Ambassador of Spain to Vietnam, Carmen Cano de Lasala, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Thị Anh Thi, discussed the potential cooperation between Danang and Spanish localities and businesses. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee proposed that the Ambassador continue to act as a bridge, introducing Spanish enterprises and corporations to survey the investment environment in Danang, while also supporting the sharing of experiences in logistics, seaports, urban planning, and urban railways. The city also hopes to strengthen cooperation in youth football training and to connect Spanish clubs for exchanges and training in Danang.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Ambassador Carmen Cano de Lasala expressed her wish for both sides to continue promoting cooperation in investment, education, and culture, including enhancing Spanish language teaching in schools in Danang.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">At the 7th International Workshop on “Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development in the Central and Central Highlands regions” on the morning of September 24, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu affirmed that the green economy, circular economy, science and technology, environmental protection, and efficient use of resources are the city's core strategies, while also emphasizing that multi-stakeholder cooperation is the key to connecting resources for implementation. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The workshop focused on discussing global green development trends, policies in Vietnam, and solutions to expand regional cooperation. The multi-stakeholder session brought together state agencies, businesses, financial organizations, research institutes, and local communities to identify needs, mobilize resources, and turn green initiatives into practical actions.</span></p>

The contestants are students from Laos, China, Japan, and Cambodia, currently studying at 7 universities and colleges across the country. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">In the Final Round, the teams competed in 2 segments: Vietnamese Proficiency and Speech. In the Vietnamese Proficiency segment, the contestants answered multiple-choice questions about Vietnamese language and culture. In the Speech segment, the teams prepared and presented a speech in Vietnamese on a topic provided by the Organizing Committee and then responded to counter-questions from the Judges.</span></p>
