The 2nd night of DIFF 2026: Honoring heritage values
The second night of the 2026 Danang International Fireworks Festival (June 6), with the theme “Heritage,” featured a competition between the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team (Vietnam) and the newcomer Lux Factory POK 2.0 (France).
Through spectacular fireworks displays, the two teams conveyed stories about the interplay between tradition and modernity, helping to spread the message of connecting heritage values with contemporary life, while also expressing the aspiration to create a unique cultural identity for Danang – a young, dynamic, and cosmopolitan city.

Every citizen is a 'green citizen'
At the city-level launching and mobilization ceremony in response to the Action Month for the Environment and Vietnam Sea and Island Week 2026, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Hung called on all levels, sectors, businesses, and the entire population to continue joining hands to protect the environment through practical actions such as dealing with waste hotspots, reducing single-use plastics, promoting waste sorting at the source, enhancing the application of green technology, and protecting marine ecosystems.
In response to the Action Month for the Environment, World Environment Day (June 5), World Oceans Day (June 8), and Vietnam Sea and Island Week 2026, the City People’s Committee launched and organized more than 60 meaningful and practical activities across the city.
During the week, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and localities organized the launching ceremony of the movement “All People Join Hands to Protect the Environment for a Green, Clean, and Beautiful Da Nang” for the period 2026 – 2030; localities organized the Launching Ceremony in response to the Action Month for the Environment and Vietnam's Sea and Islands Week 2026.

Danang promotes innovation and develops a financial center with Switzerland
Within the framework of the official program in Zurich (Switzerland), the city delegation, led by the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Kỳ Minh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Danang City People's Committee and SwissCham Asia and Singularity AG Academy. The memorandum aims to promote cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, innovation, education, and to strengthen connections between Danang and Switzerland.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Kỳ Minh, leveraging Switzerland's strengths in finance, technology, innovation, and education will help Danang attract international resources, knowledge, and experience, while also anticipating that the parties will soon implement specific cooperative programs and projects. The signing further affirms Danang's efforts in international integration, opening opportunities to attract technology, resources, and knowledge from Switzerland, contributing to realizing the goal of building the city into a financial and innovation hub of the region.
Representatives of SwissCham Asia and the Singularity AG Academy have pledged to accompany Danang in investment, research, training, and high-quality human resource development programs.

Strengthening cooperation and exchange of experiences with the French Republic in urban development and public transportation
From May 31 to June 2, the working delegation of the City People's Committee, led by Vice Chairman Lê Quang Nam, held meetings with leading French corporations and organizations in the fields of urban planning, public transport, and railways.
During meetings with the Artelia Group and the French National Railway Company (SNCF), the delegation exchanged experiences on urban planning, public transport development, flood control, climate change adaptation, transit-oriented urban development (TOD), transportation integration, and mobilizing resources for infrastructure investment.
The delegation also conducted an on-site survey at Saint-Lazare Station in Paris to study modern public transport development models.
In a meeting with the Embassy of Vietnam in France, the city leaders requested support in connecting with French and European organizations, enterprises, research institutes, and experts in the fields of urban planning, transportation, green transition, and sustainable development.

Mikazuki expands the Japanese resort ecosystem in Danang
ODK Mikazuki Vietnam Co., Ltd. has just inaugurated the category of Mikazuki Villas The Ryokan at Danang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa (Hai Van Ward).
The project consists of 14 high-end vacation villas designed in the traditional Japanese Ryokan style, contributing to the completion of the Japanese tourism and hospitality ecosystem in Danang.
Mikazuki Villas The Ryokan will officially welcome guests starting June 15, 2026.

Press conference to announce the 4th DANAFF in 2026
At the press conference announcing the 4th Danang Asia Film Festival in 2026 (DANAFF IV), Vice Chairwoman of the City People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Anh Thi stated that DANAFF IV holds significant importance in realizing the goal of developing Danang into a center for culture, tourism, events, and the creative industry in the region; at the same time, it promotes the image of the city as dynamic, modern, friendly, and full of identity.
DANAFF IV will take place from June 28 to July 4, with the Script Lab program starting on June 26. The opening ceremony will be held on June 28, and the closing ceremony and award presentation will be organized on July 4 at the Ariyana International Convention Center in Danang and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
DANAFF IV presents 102 films with approximately 200 screenings at Lê Độ, CGV Danang, and Galaxy Danang cinemas. In particular, audiences will have the opportunity to interact directly with artists, production teams, and film crews before or after each screening, contributing to the connection between the public and both domestic and international cinema.

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">DIFF 2026's fourth night of competition continued to affirm its appeal with the contest between two representatives from Europe and Asia, namely Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) and Apple Pyrotechnics Co., Ltd (Macau, China).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The showdown between the German team and the Macau (China) team was considered an exciting contest between two distinct styles of fireworks. Not only leaving an artistic impression, DIFF 2026 continues to serve as a driving force for the growth of tourism in Danang.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">According to statistics, after three nights of competition, accommodation facilities in the city have served more than 326,000 guests, an increase of 36.7% compared to the same period in 2025. Among them, international visitors reached over 136,000, an increase of 33.7%; domestic visitors reached nearly 190,000, an increase of 38.9%.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">On June 16 (local time), a delegation from Danang City led by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh worked with the Mayor of Genoa City (Italy), Silvia Salis, to promote cooperation in the fields of marine economy, logistics, education, urban planning, and digital transformation. The two sides agreed to develop specific action programs to effectively implement the signed cooperation agreements.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh requested Genoa City to share its experiences in seaport development, logistics, land reclamation technology, and marine sports, while also promoting cooperation between the University of Genoa and the University of Danang in training and scientific research.</p>

The city is committed to continuing to accompany and closely coordinate with AFD and relevant agencies to promptly address difficulties and obstacles, ensuring that the project is implemented on schedule, achieves quality standards, and maximizes investment efficiency.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng emphasized that the investment in Sun Galaxy Complex holds special significance, not only serving the Danang International Fireworks Festival but also creating a modern cultural and entertainment space; supplementing new tourism products, promoting the night-time economy, extending tourists' length of stay, and increasing their spending.
