Da Nang maintains its appeal to the South Korean tourist market

International tourist flows, especially South Korean visitors, continue to visit and shop in the city during the favorable weather days of October. From the appeal of familiar destinations to the experiences of repeat visitors, Da Nang continues to have a foundation to consolidate its key international tourist market.

Han Market - A Familiar Stop

In the sunny and cool weather of October in Da Nang, the area around Han Market, Hai Chau Ward, continues to attract many international tourists for sightseeing and shopping.

At specialty and souvenir stalls and neighboring streets, groups of visitors stop to select products, explore goods, and experience the shopping atmosphere in the city center. Among these crowds, South Korean tourists are one of the most easily encountered visitor groups.

October every year is usually a time when the Central region is forecasted to experience heavy rain and erratic weather developments, affecting outdoor sightseeing activities. However, under this year's stable weather conditions, tourism activities in Da Nang are proceeding favorably.

Shopping and sightseeing spots in the city center continue to welcome visitors, creating a lively atmosphere during the seasonal transition.

Located in a convenient position, Han Market is a familiar stop for many tourists visiting Da Nang. Not only offering specialty items and souvenirs, the market also enables visitors to combine shopping with exploring local cuisine and lifestyle. For South Korean tourists, this is also one of the locations that can be easily included in the city sightseeing itinerary.

Kim Ji-eun, 22, a student living in Mapo-gu district, Seoul (South Korea), said that she chose Da Nang for her October vacation thanks to the combination of coastal landscapes, cuisine, and attractions in the city center.

"I like the atmosphere in Da Nang because I can both rest by the beach and easily go sightseeing and shopping. Coming to Han Market, I can find many types of specialties and souvenirs. The favorable weather also makes the trip more comfortable," Ji-eun shared.

Ms. Choi Min-seo, 24, an office worker living in Suwon, Gyeonggi province (South Korea), shared that she has chosen Da Nang for her vacation many times.

"What I like about Da Nang is that there are many experiences to choose from. I can spend time at the beach, enjoy local dishes, or go shopping at markets in the center. Every time I return, I want to explore more new places," Min-seo shared.

Besides young travelers, South Korean families also come to Da Nang to combine relaxation, sightseeing, and shopping. Beaches, amusement areas, cultural attractions, and a diverse accommodation system allow families to proactively build suitable itineraries.

Mr. Park Jun-ho, 35, living in Busan (South Korea), said that the trip with his family is an opportunity for members to spend time resting and experiencing local culture.

"We want a vacation that is both relaxing and allows us to discover new things. Da Nang has beautiful beaches, many dining options, and convenient shopping locations. I think such experiences are suitable for families who want to travel together," Jun-ho shared.

Over the past period, Da Nang has implemented numerous tourism promotion and marketing activities in both domestic and international markets, while organizing large-scale cultural, sports, and tourism events to increase the destination's appeal. Highlights include the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026, Enjoy Da Nang Festival, Da Nang Food Tour Festival, Da Nang Asian Film Festival, and numerous international sports tournaments.

These events contribute to diversifying experiences, promoting the city's image, and creating opportunities for tourism businesses to expand their business operations. Communication work has been deployed across various digital platforms, domestic and international press and television, including media channels in South Korea.

The city has also strengthened connections with international partners. Recently, Da Nang has implemented cooperation with partners in Yeongam, Yongin, and Daegu (South Korea),

contributing to promoting cultural and tourism marketing and expanding cooperative relations in this market.

Along with promotion, the city focuses on developing cultural, culinary, ecological, community-based, and resort tourism products, building tours connecting the central area with the southern and western parts of the city. Expanding the experiential space is expected to create more choices for visitors, contributing to prolonging length of stay and encouraging repeat visits.

Sunny, cool weather and transportation convenience contribute to building goodwill, encouraging visitors to choose Da Nang as a destination for subsequent trips.

In the last 3 months of 2026, the city's tourism industry will continue to finalize projects and plans for new product development, and organize events and festivals serving the year-end tourism season and welcoming the New Year 2027. Expected activities include the Hoi An - Da Nang International Lantern Festival 2026, Da Nang International Tourism Festival, and New Year 2027 Celebration Festival.

Along with that, the city boosts promotion on online travel platforms, cooperating with international partners and content creators to expand accessibility to key tourist markets.
