Da Nang and Pyeongtaek (South Korea) Sign Agreement to Establish Friendly and Cooperative Relations

At the meeting with Mayor of Pyeongtaek City (South Korea) Jung Jang Seon on the afternoon of April 2, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh realized that the two sides have many similarities in the direction of their development, especially with cooperation opportunities in the semiconductor industry. The Chairman hoped that Pyeongtaek will promote and support the connection of semiconductor enterprises to invest in Da Nang.

Mayor Jung Jang Seon greatly appreciated the investment environment and development potential of Da Nang and expected that the two cities would bolster cooperation in their fields of strength.

On this occasion, Da Nang and Pyeongtaek signed an agreement to establish friendly relations and cooperation in the fields of economy, education, culture, sports, and labor.

Da Nang city leaders pay their respects to comrade Khamtay Siphandone

On the morning of April 4, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh paid their respects to the former Party Chairman, former President, and former Prime Minister of Laos Khamtay Siphandone at the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang.

The Chairman sent condolences and wrote in the condolence book expressing his sorrow. He affirmed that comrade Khamtay was an excellent leader and a revolutionary soldier who devoted his whole life to the independence, freedom, and happiness of the people and the development of Laos. He emphasized that the passing of a comrade is a great loss for Laos and Vietnam.

The Lao Consul General expressed his deep gratitude to Vietnam for its deep sentiments, especially the decision to hold a two-day national mourning period, demonstrating the special solidarity between the two countries.

Da Nang City's Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh Meets with Japanese Training Vessel’s Commander

At the reception for Colonel Mizuno Tatsuhito, Commander of the Suzunami training ship of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force on the afternoon of March 31, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh introduced the socio-economic development situation and acknowledged the contributions of Japanese enterprises in the past. At the same time, the Vice Chairman hoped that the delegation would promote the image of Da Nang to the Japanese people.

Colonel Mizuno Tatsuhito thanked the city leaders for their welcome, expressed his impression of Da Nang, and looked forward to training and exchanging activities with the Vietnamese Navy.

Da Nang's Appeal Highlighted at the 11th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) 2025

On the afternoon of March 31, the Da Nang Department of Tourism coordinated with the World Golf Tourism Association to hold a press conference to open the 11th Asian Golf Tourism Congress - AGTC 2025. This is the second time the event has been held in Da Nang, the last being  2017. Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong emphasized that AGTC 2025 not only enhances Da Nang's position on the international golf map but also opens up opportunities for cooperation and investment in golf tourism and luxury tourism.

AGTC 2025 would take place from March 30 to April 5, 2025, with many activities such as travel surveys, golf championships and golf tourism conferences. The event attracts 168 travel companies, more than 4,500 meetings between businesses, with the expectation of expanding the market and reducing dependence on traditional markets.

Two New Direct International Flights from Kazakhstan and Myanmar to Đà Nẵng

The first direct flight from Almaty (Kazakhstan) landed at Da Nang International Airport at noon on April 2, marking an important step forward in connecting tourism between Da Nang and Kazakhstan. The route will be operating with a frequency of 4 flights/week from April to October 2025, including 2 flights from Almaty and 2 flights from Astana.

On the same evening, Da Nang welcomed the first flight from Yangon (Myanmar) operated by Myanmar Airways International with a frequency of 2 flights/week. With this route, Da Nang has direct flights to 8/10 Southeast Asian countries, bringing the total number of regular international flights to 16.

On the afternoon of March 31st, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the International Association of Golf Tour Operators, held a press conference to announce the 11th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) 2025. This marks the second time Da Nang will host the Asia Golf Tourism Convention, the first being in 2017.

On the afternoon of March 31st, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, hosted a meeting with Captain Mizuno Tatsuhito, Commander of the Suzunami training vessel from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, who paid a courtesy visit to Da Nang.

At noon on April 2, the first direct flight from Almaty (Kazakhstan), flight number VJ52 operated by an A330/300 aircraft, landed at Da Nang International Airport with nearly 300 passengers arriving to explore and experience the city’s tourism services.
